Flower greetings with MacFlowers! A liquorice plant grows out of this box. Licorice root is one of the oldest herbal remedies. The perennial, herbaceous liquorice can grow up to a meter high and used to be a popular crop in cottage gardens because of its effect on coughs, hoarseness and stomach problems. The liquorice shows its pretty, light violet to white butterfly flowers in loose clusters in late summer. Latin name: Glycyrrhiza glabra The small canned flowers are a lovely gift for young and old or for yourself. You can see the little plants growing and be happy about the thriving and flowering.
