Information
Kitchen greetings with MacFlowers!
A real liquorice plant, Glycyrrhiza glabra, grows from this tin. Licorice root is one of the oldest herbal remedies. The perennial, herbaceous liquorice can reach a height of up to one metre and used to be a popular useful plant in country gardens because of its effect on coughs, hoarseness and stomach problems. The liquorice displays its pretty light purple to white butterfly flowers in late summer in loose clusters.
The small canned flowers are a lovely gift for big and small or for yourself. You watch the little plants germinate and grow and are delighted when they flourish and blossom. The growing kit contains everything the seeds need to thrive: Dry granules, seeds, nutrients. Just keep the granules moist and place the tin on a bright windowsill indoors. Easy as pie.
This is how it's done:
- Remove the instructions from the bottom lid and reattach it to the bottom of the can.
- Open the top lid.
- Add water until the can contents are well moistened. Please do not wet.
- Give the seeds a place with a very good light source, preferably behind a glass window and always keep them slightly moist.
The liquorice seeds are normal germinators. With the optimal humidity and heat they germinate at 20° to 22° Celsius. Now patience is needed, because the seeds will not germinate after 35 days at the latest.
Dimensions: height 8 cm, diameter 7,5 cm
The tins are 100 % recyclable.
