This small flower box grows real red basil, a large-leaved basil species that produces purple, toothed leaves and pink flowers. The easy growing set: open, water, enjoy!
This variety grows quickly and is extremely aromatic. Visually, basil is very decorative in salads or on pasta plates. Kitchen tip: Only add it to the food at the end and never cook it with the food. This way the basil retains its appearance and flavour. Preservation is very simple: pluck off the leaves, spread them out on paper and dry them in the airy shade. Store in a dark, airtight container. Harvest the leaves in the morning!
The little canned flowers are a lovely gift for big and small or for yourself. You watch the little plants germinate and grow and are delighted when they flourish and bloom. The growing kit contains everything the seeds need to thrive: Dry granules, seeds, nutrients. Just keep the granules moist and place the tin on a bright windowsill indoors. Easy as pie.
This is how it's done:
- Remove instructions from the bottom lid and reattach it to the bottom of the tin.
- Open the top lid.
- Pour in water until the contents of the tin are well moistened. Please do not wet.
- Give the seeds a place with a very good light source, preferably behind a glass window and always keep them slightly moist.
Red Basil seeds are light germinators. Light, warmth and moisture stimulate their germination. The seeds sprout in about 10 to 30 days.
